HARRISBURG, PA – February 13, 2025 – Senator Patty Kim (D-15) announced more than $387,000 in operational grant funding for local fire departments and emergency medical services (EMS) throughout Senatorial District 15.
“As I continue visiting each of the municipalities across our district, I’m hearing our local firefighters and EMS workers voice many of the same challenges surrounding a lack of funding,” Senator Kim said. “Our dedicated first responders have been operating under increasingly strained budgets while facing growing demands on their services. Every dollar counts when it comes to supporting local fire and EMS including these grants. I hope my Senate colleagues and I can work together to pass meaningful legislation to ensure our firefighters and EMS workers have the resources they need to keep themselves and our communities safe.”
