Senator Patty Kim Announces $6 Million in Commonwealth Financing Authority Grants for Projects in Senate District 15

HARRISBURG, PA  – Today, Senator Patty Kim (D-15) announced the award of over $6 million in grant funding to 30 projects across Senate District 15 from the Commonwealth Financing Authority Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) and Act 13 Grant programs.

“I’m proud of how our delegation worked together in a bipartisan way to deliver meaningful financial support for our district,” said Senator Patty Kim. “Representative Davidson, Representative Madsen, Representative Fleming, Representative Mehaffie, Representative Kerwin and I worked together to secure and leverage funding for critical projects that improve the quality of life across Southern Dauphin County.”

Additionally, Senator Kim said, “I appreciate the hard work of our local government officials and nonprofit applicants, who put countless hours into advocating for the particular needs of their community. In 2025, I’m proud to have delivered upwards of $20 million in grant funding to the 15th District and I’m proud of the ways this funding will greatly benefit our communities.”

The following projects received Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding:

  • Central Pennsylvania Food Bank Refrigeration Truck – $75,000
  • Friendship YMCA Facility Improvements – $550,000
  • Parking Infrastructure for Latino Hispanic American Community Center – $228,626
  • Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center Emergency Department Mental Health/Behavioral Health Renovation – $458,659
  • Saint Samuel Center Safety and Security Initiative – $50,000
  • Second City Church Safety Improvements for Logos Academy – $85,619
  • Valley Youth House Street Outreach & Rapid Rehousing Van Purchase – $44,654
  • YWCA Greater Harrisburg Renovation – $200,000
  • Danny Fisher Park Improvements – $71,690
  • Conewago Township Road Crew Pickup Truck – $109,383
  • Detweiler Park Public Entrance and Facilities – Phase 2 – $100,000
  • Susquehanna Union Green Park – $300,000
  • Greenlight Operation Restoration Home – $100,000
  • Sprocket Cargo Van and Paint Applicator – $107,738
  • Derry Township ADA Ramp Upgrades – $182,477
  • Derry Township Stormwater Improvements – $105,000
  • Handles Helping Hands Foundation (Multi-Family Affordable Community Development) – $50,000
  • Relocation of Greenbelt Trail in South Harrisburg: Phase One – $750,000
  • Highspire Borough Roadway Rehabilitation Program – $550,000
  • Hummelstown Brough Drainage Improvements – $250,000
  • Thomas B. George Park Improvements – $225,000
  • Middletown Borough Waterfront Trail – $216,250
  • Royalton Borough Public Works Building – $100,000
  • Harrisburg International Airport Signage and Wayfinding Upgrades Project – $250,000
  • Wedgewood Hills Park Construction – $376,000
  • Swatara Township Police Vehicle Acquisition – $230,418

In addition, the following projects received Act 13 Program grant funding:

  • East Hanover Community Park Sport Court Renovations – $75,000
  • Middletown Pool Property – Walking Path – $75,000
  • Beaufort Hunt Playground – $72,165
  • Mount Laurel Park Improvements – Phase 1 – $220,000
